Istanbul Beyoglu Council Social Market announced that they are giving out free mackerel. 3500 people queued for 1kg of mackerel.

Beyoglu Business and Social Support Manager said "Last week we distributed 2.5 tonnes of donated fish to those in need. We think this kind of help is important due to the pandemic. Following the instruction of Haydar Ali Yildiz, Beyoglu Council Leader we are distributing a further 3.5 tonnes of fish to citizens. We are giving almost 3500 families a kilo each. Due to the coronavirus pandemic we are undertaking distribution whilst trying to comply with social distancing rules." (EVRENSEL DAILY)
