With the report of the Biology Specialization Department of the Forensic Medicine Institute, it has been determined that the tissue and sperm sample detected on Aleyna Cakir, who was found dead in her home in Ankara, was a match with the DNA of Umitcan Uygun.

It was determined that the tissue and sperm sample detected on Aleyna Cakir, who was found dead in her home in Ankara, belonged to Umitcan Uygun, who was released after being detained for her death and later arrested within the scope of a drug investigation.

Sema Esen, publicly known as Aleyna Cakir, was found dead in her home in Kecioren on 3rd June last year with a rope around her neck. Videos of moments when Umitcan Uygun previously inflicted violence on Sema Esen appeared on social media shortly after her death. Thereupon, Umitcan Uygun was detained within the scope of the investigation launched into Esen's death and was released following his testimony. Sema Esen's family stated that Umitcan Uygun was responsible for the death of their daughter for days, appearing on a television program.

In the report issued by the Ankara Forensic Medicine Institute within the scope of the investigation, tissue was found in Sema Esen's nails and sperm in her vaginal smear. The prosecutor's office conducting the investigation sent the file to the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute to prepare a detailed report following the allegations about Esen's death. In the report prepared, it was stated that the tissue and sperm sample detected on Sema Esen belonged to the same person.

In the report, it was also stated that the symptoms detected in Esen's body other than hanging were not of the nature to cause death, and internal examination did not reveal skull fractures, intracranial bleeding, internal bleeding, brain tissue damage, internal organ or large vessel injuries. In the report, it was also stated that there was no medical evidence that the person died due to traumatic effects other than hanging, and the alcohol level detected was not at a level that could cause death on its own. It was also stated that no medical evidence could be obtained to suggest Esen had died as a result of any poisoning and that the death occurred as a result of the hang.

TISSUE BELONGS TO UMİTCAN UYGUN

Thereupon, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office decided to take a DNA sample from Umitcan Uygun to make the necessary comparison procedures on the detected DNA profiles. A DNA sample was taken from Umitcan Uygun, who was detained and arrested during a drug operation earlier that month, after a footage of him taking drugs were found on social media. The DNA sample was sent to the Biology Specialization Department of the Forensic Medicine Institute for comparison. In the examination, it was determined that the sperm and tissues detected on Sema Esen, known as Aleyna Cakir, belonged to Umitcan Uygun. In the report sent to the prosecutor's office, it was stated that the sperm and tissue samples found on Esen were compatible with Umitcan Uygun's DNA. However, Uygun, who was previously known to inflict violence on Cakır and was detained, and later released by the court due to the male-dominated atmosphere in the country.
