OZGUR KARABAT OF CHP: IT’S OUR DUTY TO QUESTION THE FATE OF 128 BILLION DOLARS

While the posters were picked on prosecutors’ orders, the incident was taken to GNAT (Grand National Assembly of Turkey) Upon the motion İYİ Party put forward at GNAT; CHP İstanbul MP Ozgur Karabat, holding the floor in the name of CHP group,  said “show some accountability.”

Karabat said “If we are asking today ‘where 128 billion dollars is’ and not getting an answer, the basic reason for this is that these institutions have lost the qualification of being independent.”

Karabat, reminding that AKP has changed four Central Bank Chairs in the last two years, asked “How, when, by which vehicle and to whom have you sold this foreign currency? We wonder about this,” calling for “ answer to this so that we will be relieved.”

“Hero has become needy of a dry onion, it is our binding duty to question this. Karabat, saying “In a country that a hero has become needy of a dry onion, it is the basic duty of an MP to ask about this,” reacted as “your prosecutors confirm of no element of crime in it, but your provincial governors are taking down our posters at our organizations.”

Karabat ended his announcement as follows: “This money is not your money. This money is the money the citizens consigned to you. It is our basic right to ask questions about this consignment. We ask ‘Where is 128 billion dollars?’ Why are you not answering? Is there something you are afraid of the answer? Whom have you made rich with these monies? Since you say the dollars are in place, in that case, give the citizens the dollars not the onions! If you don’t know how to do any of these, give the consignment to who is component.” (EVRENSEL DAILY)
