Osman Kavala sentenced to life imprisonment in the Gezi Case, while 16 sentenced to 18 years in prison

Number 13th Criminal Court in Istanbul announced its decision in the Gezi case against 17 people, including Osman Kavala, Mücella Maker, Can Atalay, Tayfun Kahraman, Çiğdem Mater. Osman Kavala acquitted of espionage charges, to overthrow the government was sentenced to life imprisonment for attempted murder. Mücella Yapıcı, Cigdem Mater, Hakan Altınay, Mine Özerden, Can Atalay, Tayfun Kahraman and Yigit Ali Ekmekçi were sentenced to 18 years each in prison and ordered to be arrested.

Labour Party (EMEP) Headquarters announced the verdicts in the Gezi case.
