In Iran, protests against price increases in basic food products after the government removed subsidies spread to different provinces of the country. People are back on the streets against the exorbitant price hike in basic food prices in several provinces in Iran, including Izeh, Dezful and Andimeshk in Khuzestan, Boroujerd and Doroud in Lorestan, Junqan in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, Farsan and Shahre kord in Bakhgiluyeh, Dehdasht and Boyer-Ahmad Provinces in Kohgiluyeh, and against the policies of the Islamic Republic and the security forces.

The Iranian regime has blocked internet connections in the provinces where the protests took place, preventing coverage of events inside the country. At least 5 people have been killed by police and dozens detained so far during protests in Iran.

According to reports, Omid Soltani in Andimeshk, Hamid Ghasempour and Behrooz Eslami in Farsan, Hadi Saadatpour in Hafshjan and Pish Ali Ghalebi Hajivand in Dezful have killed five people in recent protests. In the protests held; Anti-Raisi and Khamenei slogans and chants of "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, we are all together" were chanted. (EVRENSEL DAILY)
