Statement of the Public Prosecutor's Office

As a result of the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Terrorist Crimes Investigation Department, the following statements have been made: It was found that the DHKP/C terrorist organisation established the IKOM (Needs Committee) in order to meet the needs of the organisations affiliated to the organisation and to provide financial support for the activities to be carried out in the name of the organisation.
The investigation was conducted on the basis of the testimony of a member of the organisation who was active in the DHKP/C armed terrorist organisation and who made a statement under the effective repentance provisions; It was found that the suspects named Doğan Karataştan and Yunus Bolukoç, who were active in IKOM (Needs Committee), met with the municipalities of Ataşehir, Maltepe, Sarıyer and Şişli between 2014-2016 and requested financial support in the name of the organisation, and that the organisation took over a textile company after the employees of a textile company were dismissed and their claims were not paid by the Revolutionary Workers' Movement (DIH), the workers' organisation of the DHKP/C terrorist organisation.

In addition, the same textile company participated in tenders organised by the municipalities of Sarıyer and Şişli between 2014 and 2015, in which sweaters and t-shirts were purchased to be distributed to children, and corruption was found in the tenders during the investigations carried out by the Civil Inspectorate in the said municipalities, It was found that the sweaters and T-shirts were given to this textile company without complying with the tender conditions, the purchases were made at prices above the market price, it could not be determined to whom or to whom the products were distributed, it was found that the tender documents were falsified, therefore it was found that the municipalities of Sarıyer and Şişli provided funding to the armed terrorist organisation DHKP/C through tenders.
