A step back from Turkey in the Mediterranean!..

“Oruç Reis, carrying out seismic activities in the Mediterranean, returned to Antalya with the navy ships.”

That's the news. Obviously, the “research” was above sea. A Power play was being tried. And Oruç Reis returned as it is seen that the Mediterranean problem cannot be overcome with this power. Only Oruç Reis does not return, the return of AKP and Turkey is happening.

There seemed to be no discussion within the country. It was called the “national cause” and the flowing waters stopped. We have a bourgeois opposition, what a disaster! Erdogan has caught their noses or their “soft bellies” and is playing them with a great pleasure. The bourgeois opposition united in the “Nation Front” criticizes the AKP and Erdogan in words only: Erdogan and some of his policies are bad! For example, economic policies. They say “Erdogan is sinking the country”. Of course it is correct. They say, “The one man administration has left nothing in the name of law and justice”. It is also right. And those that derive from these two. “AKP exploded unemployment”. “Poverty is knee-deep”. “The judiciary depends on execution”. “Freedom of the press is being violated, journalists are in prison”. These are all correct.

But let's see, according to the bourgeois opposition, everything would be rosy without Erdogan!

“Everything will be beautiful”, when a mayor from CHP for Istanbul was elected! However, it is known that we did not witness anything that is beautiful! Because the problem is not just Erdogan. Of course, the main problem is capitalism and the rule of monopolies; but let's not go that “deep”. The bourgeois opposition; aside from the criticisms of “destroyed the economy”, “No justice” and the parliamentary emphasis do not advocate policies different from Erdogan so that everything may be alright when he's gone!

For example the Mediterranean problem. Even Syria and Libya. What do they say differently, CHP or IYI Party? Did they approve the permission to send troops to Syria –they approved. Did they oppose the maritime agreement with Libya –no. Did they criticise Turkey’s intervention in the Libyan civil war –no. Did they say no to the gas of the Mediterranean, which is a subject of conflict with Greece and everyone –no. On the contrary, when it comes to “national interests” in the Mediterranean, Syria or Libya, they are having a nationalism race with the AKP and Erdogan. Knowing this, Erdogan also plays and plays with the whole bourgeois opposition by saying “national interest” and trails them.

For example, the CHP is behind the Erdogan regime in foreign policy –enough to defend Erdogan against Macron– although not without debate in Turkey on the Mediterranean problem.

Erdogan and his party long-headedly implement foreign policy so clumsily, at least as tactlessly as domestic policy, they both argue and zigzags such as the acceptance of the ceasefire, which they called “not possible” in Libya and the withdrawal of Oruç Reis, are inevitable. Mostly retired generals speak of the gravity of the situation.

Erdogan and [The Defend Minister] Mr. Hulusi, for example, take on France and Macron, but Germany declaring it is back to Cyprus and Greece, is only slightly different. America sends Pompeo to Cyprus after the joint sham battle. “We are deeply concerned about Turkey's actions in the eastern Mediterranean” and does not even say the name of the North Cyprus Turkish Republic, and he will only meet with Anastasiadis. More or less Russia seems to be in a different position; it is also aimed at distancing Turkey from NATO and the United States. But Turkey and Russia are in opposition to each other over Syria, Libya and the situation in the Mediterranean.

Under these conditions, can expansionist foreign policy still be sustained by boasting? Of course Oruç Reis would return. “A Turk is worth the world”, but when everybody is against it, not that much!
