Narcotics policeman Cumhur Acarca (40), who was rewarded by the then Adana Governor Mahmut Demirtaş for his success in the drug operation held in Adana on 20 March 2019, was arrested by the judge on duty after he was caught with 24 kilos and 600 grams of heroin and questioned.
As a result of the joint work of Konya Police Department Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch and Intelligence Branch Directorate, the car with license plate 07 MSP 74, which was used by Cumhur Acarca, an officer of Yuregir District Police Department, was stopped on the night of 29 October on the Ereğli road. During the identity check, Acarca ran into the police officer at the application point. Acarca, which was followed by the police, hit another vehicle on the Ereğli-Adana highway. After the accident, Acarca and his wife Nurcan Acarca were asked to be taken into custody. However, Cumhur Acarca resisted and two policemen were injured in the brawl. The injured policemen were taken to the hospital and discharged after treatment.

During the search of Cumhur Acarca's vehicle, 48 pieces of 24 kilograms of 600 grams of heroin and 2 pistols were seized.
Cumhur Acarca and his wife Nurcan Acarca, who were taken to the Konya Police Department, were interrogated. After his deposition, Cumhur Acarca was arrested by the court on duty for "trafficking drugs". His wife, Nurcan Acarca, was released after judicial control.
