The door of the new era has opened

Now it has reached the end of inaction. With the emphasis on the need for a "third option", demonstrations of "we can't survive" appeared almost all over the country.

It was a contradiction; the country had become uninhabitable, but ‘it’s enough!’ was not being said. Those who were able to pay off their living costs were either from the Upper Middle Class or associates of the Palace and its narrow surroundings. Not just the workers, but also the small property owners, never mind going to the theatre,  had trouble feeding themselves. Real wages were reduced by half, and following the rise in US dollars, it lost almost all its buying power. Because it was only wages that didn't go up. There was no way to catch the electricity, water, gas, even bread and transportation prices. The proxies of the regime, as if to ridicule the people, were saying, "Take not one kilo, but half a kilo of meat, take the tomato with grain." As if the overwhelming majority of the population has been eating meat for months! The sale of half bagels has kicked started in Turkey!

Those who claimed to write the book of economics has brought the economy into a disastrous place. They were happy to see the USD/TL rate fluctuate to 12USD, but they still continues to talk from above: “ Interest is the reason, inflation is the result”. They themselves were not the reason of course. It was not “foreign conspirators” or “external enemies” as they claimed either. It was in fact, the monopolist capitalist system they are personally managing, But it's undisputed that there are no others who have ruffled feathers with their economic policies: it was themselves! And everyone's starting to see it.

The impasse that dragged the country first led to the end of the silence, which used to be described as a "wall of fear" or "empire of fear". First, those that were afraid of being arrested or fired started to break the silence and talk. The social media was almost quiet; now it is filled with over excitement. It’s being talked about now.

It's not just talked about now. Previously, only local, Bosporus and national strikes and resistances witnessed were dismantled. An example is the "White March" of doctors, which ended with a forum in Ankara a few days ago. Previously, lawyers marched during the renewal of the Bar Law. Now the trend to generalization is unquestionable. The march was intervened by the police twice, but it was over.

Police intervention is the salt and pepper. It's almost as if it needs to happen. The police seem to be conditioned to intervene in every demonstration. How could it not be, they were used to it. Because the general mood was silence and inaction. The police, who intervened at the smallest, believed that silence could be maintained. Now it seems that it's not maintained, it can't be maintained.

The governors and governors of the regime had also become accustomed, becoming the rule; Every tendency to react was forbidden, they banned it. Yet even the most regressive constitution did not "seek permission" for demonstrations. Notification was sufficient; But the regime's bureaucrats were printing "forbidden". The reason was clear; Because they weren't getting a reaction. It was enough to call it a ban. The so-called wall of fear had fallen, but it was still effective.

The main reason the reactions stopped at some point was that the knife was not yet "leaning on the bone". Even if it did, the power of habits was the hardest to break, and the "pain threshold" of the Turkish people was quite high. Employment aside, the perception of "not opposing the state" or "father state" is not less strong in Turkey. The glorification of "our state", which is never avoided, is effective. It was unthinkable that this would have no effect on the people’s views, exaggerated by both the regime and the bourgeois opposition. In addition, "wait for the election", "oh my god! it would be a provocation" propaganda, supported by the policy of they only have "one election left, they will go in the first election" also has a significant part to play. That seemingly incomprehensible contradiction was that there was no one left to get along with and breathe easily with, but the inaction continued.

Now it has reached the end of inaction. With the emphasis on the need for a "third option", demonstrations of "we can't survive" appeared almost all over the country. It shouldn't be overstated; small and "pioneering" demonstrations, these are the initial steps. And among those who said "wait, it would be a provocation", the İYİ Party held a rally in Denizli. And the CHP announced that it would hold a rally in Mersin. The governor said "forbidden" with the power of habit, but Kılıçdaroğlu continues to say "who are you" this time.
